In the House, Dominion donated $30,000 to Franklin P. Hall (D-Chesterfield). Other delegates receiving donations included the late Harry J. Parrish (R-Manassas), $10,000; Vincent Callahan (R-Fairfax), Kenneth Plum (R-Fairfax) and Dwight Jones (DChesterfield/Richmond), $3,500 each; and H. Morgan Griffith (R-Roanoke), M. Kirkland Cox (R-Chesterfield/Colonial Heights), Brian J. Moran (DFairfax/Alexandria) and David Albo (R-Fairfax), all of whom received $2,500 each.
In the Senate, those receiving the most direct support from Dominion included Richard Saslaw (D-Alexandria/Fairfax) and H. Russell Potts Jr. (RWinchester), $10,000 each; Walter A Stosch (RrRichmond), $5,000; Thomas K. Norment (RWilliamsburg), $4,100; Kenneth W. Stolle (R-Virginia Beach), $4,168.
In the 2005 statewide races, Dominion gave financial support to candidates from both parties in primary and general elections - 32 individual donations in all, totaling $155,537.
In the governor’s race, Dominion donated $42,419 to Republican Jerry Kilgore’s campaign, and $35,000 to Tim Kaine (D), who won the election.
All five candidates for lieutenant governor got something from Dominion, with Republican Bill Bolling, who won, receiving $25,000; Sean Connaughton (R) $5,000; Viola Baskerville (D) $2,000; J. Chapman Petersen (D), $1,750; and Leslie Byrne (D) $1,000.
In the attorney general’s race, Dominion donated $24,868 to winner Robert F. McDonnell’s (R) campaign. Creighton Deeds (D) received $15,000; and Republican Steve Baril received $3,500 in the primary.
