When asked if O’Connell had any immediate plans to fill the role that Lynch played at the Inn, he acknowledged that he had several staff on board - most notably his current general manager, Andrew Welch - that have been with him for over 15 years.
“At one time, he managed an entire island,” said O’Connell of Welch who said that some of his staff will be given an opportunity to “expand their field of vision and participate to a greater degree in management.” likewise, O’Connell mentioned the recent addition of a comptroller. “He has been very helpful with the finances and bookkeeping,’ said O’Connell.
