Sunset or sunrise?

• ~ tie..-. £* > • 9 ' **'' t . » v • **! * * V Flint Hill photojoumalist Richard Lykes caught this psychedelic moment early one morning in January. It’s a scene looking toward the west with the sun rising in the east. Despite the brilliant colors, this isn’t a sunset. Lykes figures it was some combination of atmospheric pressure partnering with the sun’s light reflecting off the frost on the ground. Perhaps it was an omen of the snow to come. In either case, it’s a spectacular shot and worth sharing.
