Conferences
On February 1, ParentTeacher Cohferences are scheduled ONLY at RCES from 2:00 - 5:00 and 6:00 - 8:00. RCHS parent conferences are scheduled for March 1. The reason behind the change: RCHS students start new classes on Jan. 24 in the 4X4 schedule in which students take up to four classes each semester. RCHS Teachers will have a better understanding of student progress by March 1.
Cambridge
Program update
In August 2005, RCHS began phasing in the Cambridge International Program sponsored by Cambridge University in England. In 2006 our students could choose to take Cambridge English 9 and 10. This year, students could elect to take Cambridge English 9 and 10 plus Cambridge World History 9 and Cambridge Art. Beginning with the 2007-2008 school year, students may choose to take English 9 and 10 , Cambridge World History 9, Cambridge World History 10, Cambridge Geometry, Cambridge Algebra II Trigonometry, and Cambridge Chemistry. Cambridge US History, English 11, and Music Theory are also under consideration for the 2007-2008 school year. Cambridge courses are among the most rigorous offered at RCHS and help to prepare students for AP courses and college.
