Mountain View’s story here in Amissville began about 20 years when Averill and her husband, Ken, purchased the property they now own behind the Amissville post office. Immediately they began offering obedience and agility training. And while the work was rewarding, things really began to click about 12 years ago when the whole move towards using positive reinforcement in training really took off. Averill seems to have known instantly that this was the right way to train dogs. And it’s clearly added to the joy she feels in her work.
