LAND ACQUISITION MANAGER

Position for a self-starter with experience in real property negotiation and acquisition. Position is responsible for Loudoun County 's land acquisition and land disposition activities. Plans and organizes effective policies and procedures for acquisition of lands or properties and easements, options, right-of-ways, agreements, and permits, working closely with the County Attorney's Office. Provides technical assistance to multiple County departments with acquisitions related to the development of County capital projects. Makes recommendations for condemnation proceedings; prepares Board of Supervisors public hearing items, business meeting items and executive session items regarding real property acquisition and disposition. Assist developers through the County s land conveyance process for proffered land sites, to include all financial transactions required for acquisition or disposition of real property. Administer contracts for appraisals and geotechnical evaluations. Tracks expenditures, processes budget adjustments, and prepares land acquisition reports. Assist the Capital Budget Analyst in planning the land acquisitions to be included in the Capital Needs Assessment and Capital Improvement Program. Requires, a Bachelor's degree in business related field and 6 years of experience in real property negotiation and acquisition. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. VA Real Estate Salesperson License required; Broker License preferred. DMV record check, criminal background check and credit report are required for successful candidate.
