Building Systems Engineer
Position with Loudoun County Department of General Services Building Systems Group. Responsible to manage, analyze, operate, engineer and regulate complex HVAC, plumbing, security and I electrical systems in selected County buildings to ensure optimum operations. Perform engineering analyses of installed systems; identify operational, construction, design and maintenance anomalies; devise solutions and engineer necessary designs to correct identified problems; and acquire, manage and direct commercial contract services. Requires education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree to include extensive course work in HVAC, structural, plumbing, and electrical system design; and two years experience in managing the engineering, operation and maintenance of complex building systems. Prefer at least 6 months functional or operational administrative experience in assigned field Valid driver's license. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and lift 50 lbs.; some work may be hazardous due to location or type of work.
