"If there's anything that destroys human life that I see over and over in this court every week, it's substance abuse—drugs and alcohol," stated Circuit Court Judge Shore Robertson on Monday in sentencing Anthony Wayne Tyler to a total of 34 years in the penitentiary fora string of robberies in Old Hollow.
As part of a plea bargain, Tyler 19, of Culpeper, pleaded guilty to six charges of breaking and entering and grand larceny, offenses which occurred last July.
After imposing sentence. Robertson suspended the six terms, which were to run concurrently with each other and consecutively with ten years imposed for similar offenses in Culpeper, and placed Tyler on five years supervised probation.
