Confronted with zoning ordinance restrictions against development in Sperryville's flood plain-and apparent mistakes in the official zoning map, Rappahannock's Board of Zoning Appeals denied a special use permit for a used car lot at last Thursday's meeting and forwarded another permit for a pool hall on to the supervisors for clarification.

Joseph Atkins reported that Department of Motor Vehicle regulations require an extra 10 square feet added on to the existing building which he plans to use as office and storage space for a used car business.

He agreed to limit cars kept on the lot, located west of Sperryville on the south side of Route 211, to eight vehicles at a time and noted
