Turkey: Proposed to lengthen fall season in Hanover County to full season and to open a twoweek fall season in Sussex and Greensville counties.
Raccoon: Proposed to lengthen the chase season in the east to open September 1 * and close October 31. New regulation proposes to prohibit raccoon hunters, during the chase season, from carrying any firearm, bow, axe, saw or any tree climbing device.
Trapping: Proposed to outlaw deadfalls and snares, except foot snares set with loop parallel to the ground. Proposed to outlaw any body gripping trap with a jaw spread in excess of 7'/j inches for use on land. Proposed to require that traps be tagged when in possession except by landowners. lessees or tenants or when transporting traps from place of purchase. Proposed to move back the opening of beaver season to December 15 except east of 195. Proposed to open trapping for fox, bobcat, opossum and raccoon November 10.
General: A recreational vessel is defined as any motorboat or vessel manufactured, used, leased, rented or chartered primarily for non-commercial use. Another regulation will require boats drifting or at anchor at night in thoroughfare to display a white light visible at least a mile from all directions at all times.
