Special Service
The Rev. Howard Stinger, his choir and congregation from Union Baptist Church in Vienna will be guests at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Woodville on Sunday, July 18, at 3 p.m. The program is sponsored by Barbara Kilby and will benefit the Pastor’s Aid Club. The Rev. U. S. Brokenburr is the pastor and the public is invited.
Vacation Bible School
With the theme “Friendship - reach out and touch someone”, the summer’s Vacation Bible School will begin on Monday, July 19, at the Washington Baptist Church and continue through Friday, July 23.
The program, which will commence at 9 a.m. daily, features daily movies, stories, crafts, games and refreshments as well as Bible lessons and songs for children from pre-school through high school. The program will end each day at noon.
Teachers for this year’s school include Pastor Steve Scoggin of Washington Baptist Church, his wife, Nancy, Mary Miller Wood, Pat Davis, Lois Kanaby, Patty Metcalfe, Joan Beattie and Diane Bayne.
Jim Bayne, Director of Bethany House, coordinates th program and supplies music with his guitar.
Refreshments for the school will be provided by members of Washington Baptist Church, Trinity Episcopal Church and Bethany House Family Center.
All children in Rappahannock County are invited to attend this ecumenical church school. No prior registration is required and there is no admission charge.
