The wedding of Lois Evelyn Yates of Newport News, daughter of Mrs. Evelyn Yates of Front Royal, formerly of Sperryville, to David Lewren Giltinan of Newport News, son of Mrs. Eleanor Giltinan of Chambersburg, Pa., and Paul Giltinan of Fayetteville, Pa., took place at 2 o'clock Saturday, June 19, at the Happy Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Front Royal.

Elder Gary Utz performed the double ring ceremony. The church was decorated with peach-colored gladioli, lavender, yellow and white pompon chrysanthemums, white carnations and baby’s breath. Given in marriage by her brother, the bride wore an empire-waisted gown with lace bodice and sleeves overlaying a skirt of crepebacked satin.
