Net income of $505,000, or 30 cents per share based on an average of 1,674,449 shares outstanding, was recorded by F & M National Corporation for the second quarter. Last year's second quarter net income was $574,600 or 34 cents pe share based on an average of 1,685,719 shares outstanding.
