Nurse began with several substantial gifts. The sum needed to hire a nurse is $300. and with luck, the money will be on hand shortly. The services of the nurse are needed for pre-school clinics and other duties.
Improvements for the Town of Washington were considered by the Council-elect. These improvements include securing facilities for a Community Center to promote youth and self improvement. The council also felt that the town should own and operate the town water system and maintain care and beautification of streets including town property and alleys.
