Camille Harris, director of Sursum Corda, reported that the school and day care center is currently in its second rented location in six years, a renovated farm house that is now extremely crowded.
“As a licensed day care center, we’re also faced with pressure from the state... to get out of that building," Harris said. “We’re assuring the state that we’re moving as fast as we can,” she said, adding that Sursum Corda has been working for three years on a building program and has a building fund established.
As a non-profit corporation, the center is eligible for 100 percent funding for property purchase and construction through the block grant program, Harris continued. She acknowledged that funding criteria for this
