Anniversary
The members of the First Baptist Church will celebrate the sixth anniversary of their pastor. Wendell R. Grant on Sunday, May 15, at 3 p.m.
1 he Rev. Allen Baltimore and his congregation from Mt. Zion Baptist Church will conduct the services. All churches and the general public is invited to attend. A luncheon will be served after the worship service.
Methodist Services
C. Edward Pruitt, United Methodist pastor in the County from 1966 to 1968, will be conducting "Proclaim The Word” sessions at local Methodist Churches on May 16,17 and 18.
“Proclaim The Word” is a revival effort of the United Methodist Church to inspire the membership and inform the parish community. Monday’s meeting will be at 7:30 at the Sperryville Church; on Tuesday evening at Willis Chapel and on Wednesday at the Flint Hill Church.
Merlin Shorb, minister of the Rappahannock United Methodist Charge extends an invitation to the public.
Forest Grove Baptist
On Mother’s Day, May 8, at 11 a.m. the Forest Grove Baptist Church in Viewtown will have a special program for the dedication of the Pulpit Bibles.
Installation Service
The First Baptist Church will hold its Installation Services on Friday evening, May 6, at 7:30. Pastor Decker Tabscott of Warrenton will be guest speaker. The public is invited and refreshments will be served in the dining hall after services.
