The first stage of a unique county program - the pilot cooperative day camp to be held this summer from June 13-17 depends in large part on parents and other qualified adults who sign up to be counselors at the oneweek session. According to Pali Delevitt Allan, 4-H Community Cooperative Day Camp Chairman, parents may participate in the camp and be paid the same fees as other counselors. This would more than offset the expense of the camp for their child, she noted.
The counselor positions are open to any qualified adult that applies, Allan added. “And parents don’t have to work as counselors in order for their children to attend,” she said.
