The program will be designed to meet the needs of the economically disadvantaged youths by providing meaningful, structured employment to improve work habits and skills.
The youths will be provided vocational counseling and occupational information while earning income and will receive services which will induce and aid drop-outs to return to school. The program will open avenues for securing short-term subsidized employment which will lead to permanent full-time unsubsidized employment for youths not returning to school.
