Ross Dodson

Ross George “Gogga” Dodson, 69, of Madison, died Friday, April 29, 1983, at University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville.

A native of Madison County, he was the son of the late Melvin C. and Lillian Nicholson Dodson. He was a bus driver for Madison County Schools.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elsie Weakley Dodson of Madison; three sons, Douglas Dodson of Aroda, Donny Dodson of Brightwood and Larry Dodson of Orange; one daughter, Mrs. Janet Coleman of Pratts; a foster son, Paul H. Alger of Texas and four brothers, Clement Dodson of Burnt Tree, Will Dodson of Flint Hill, Millard Dodson of Madison and May Dodson of Orange.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday at Clore Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper by the Rev. Edwin C. Dean. Burial was in Etlan Cemetery.
