The Rappahannock Panthers found power at the plate as they put together back-to-back victories this week, pulling their mark on the season to five wins and eight losses.
Playing an aw’av game against the Strasburg Rams last Friday, April 29, the Rappahannock boys connected for 12 hits to down the Rams, 8-6. “That’s the most we've had all season, reported coach Doyle Dawson. "It was a good win with .just three errors by our guys, a well played game. Strasburg let a couple of balls get away that could ave been outs but I don’t think it hurt them too much.”
Rappahannock jumped out in front on a base hit by Robert Myers who stole second and then came home on a Mike Leake single.
Strasburg countered with two runs off a walk and a homer in the bottom of the inning. It was their first and only lead of the afternoon.
