Leak
Washington mayor Newbill Miller announced Wednesday morning that the town’s water system has a major leak located somewhere in the lines.
“Until we can find and repair that leak, we’re asking people to conserve water,” Miller said. Residents are requested to refrain from washing cars, watering lawns and gardens and turning on the sprinkler for the kids.
The mayor reported that the spring and the two wells that supply the town’s system are all producing. “I do not expect the water to go off until we find the leak. We’re concerned but this is not an emergency.”
Suspected leaks should be reported either to Miller (675-3691) or to Ray Pullen (675-3878).
