Area residents are invited to participate in Voices of Rappahannock, a sesquicentennial celebration.

Voices of Rappahannock is sponsored by the Rappahannock Association for Arts and the Community and funded by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and Public Policy. Historical and artistic director Catherine Kiley says the group is conducting an intensive investigation of the county’s history and folklore. Some of the people collecting taped oral histories and documentary research are Wayne Baldwin, Bessie Grigsby, Joe McCullough, David Brenner, Carolyn Reeder and Mary Lowe. Kiley says it’s not too late to join. She also invites anyone with old time stories about the county to share them.
