their local library as part of a group effort to reach a goal set at the beginning of the program. The Rappahannock County Library’s goal is to involve 25% more children in this year’s summer reading program. Fiftyseven children are currently participating in our county program that includes reading games, story hour, and movies. The fun will continue until August 16 so children may still sign up.
A certificate of merit, signed by Lynda Robb and State Librarian Donald Haynes, will be awarded to the Rappahannock County Library for reaching its goal, thanks to the efforts of the area’s children. (Youngsters coming to Richmond on August 9 will have an opportunity to see Robb who will participate in the festival there.)
