Fran and Charles Eldred asked that the council not make any plans to remove the water fountain near the Washington House of Reproductions. “This is the site of the old town well,” Eldred observed. “I’d hate to see anything happen to it.” Miller agreed that the town would try to preserve the water fountain.
Brad Fisher suggested that town water bills be sent out every three months instead of every month. “This would be a substantial savings in postage,” he said.
Taylor Updike said that this system might pose a hardship to those who are on fixed incomes. “They can plan their monthly bills, but letting the expense accumulate might get them in trouble,” he said.
