Mrs. Lizzie Ethel Dodson, 85, of Front Royal, died Friday, July 15, 1983, at Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by Pastor Thorton J. Hartley. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal.
Mrs. Dodson was bom September 9, 1897, at ' Sperry ville, daughter of the late Marion and Laura Belle Dodson Atkins. She was the oldest living member of the Zion Baptist Church and was the wife of the late John W. Dodson.
Surviving are a son, Marion W. Dodson of Hemdon; three daughters, Mrs. Robert A. Laing, Mrs. Alfred L. Oliver and Mae A. Dodson, all of Front Royal; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Additional survivors include three sisters, Stella Jenkins of Stephens City, Nellie Dodson of Front Royal and Ellie Dodson of Winchester and two brothers, Gilbert Atkins of Front Royal and Raymond Atkins of Strasburg.
