Dr. Elizabeth R. CarmL. ;hael will join Dr. Gordon Heckel in a combined practice of anesthesia in Culaeper August 1.

Dr. Carmichael received tier bachelors and masters legrees from Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, in 1946 and 1947. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, in 1957.

Dr. Carmichael completed her internship at Bryn Mawr Hospital in 1958 and residencies at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 1960.

Prior to Dr. Carmichael’s move to Culpeper, she was affiliated with the Department

of Anesthesia at the Bryn Mawr Hospital from 1960 to 1968. From 1968 to the present Dr. Carmichael was with the Northhampton Accomack Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox, on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Dr. Robert C. Dart will join the staff of Blue Ridge Orthopaedic Associates in the practice of orthopaedics effective July 18.

Dr. Dart attended Tulane University, New Orleans, where he received his bachelors degree in 1971 followed by his medical degree at the Louisiana State University Medical Center, Baton Rouge in 1976.
