By Labor Day, Rappahannock’s Water and Sewer Authority should know whether the long-delayed Sperryville sewer system will finally come into being.
By that date, Governor Charles Robb is expected to announce awards in the latest round of Community Development Block Grant funding, John Capelle told WSA members at Monday night’s meeting.
Capelle, executive director of the RappahannockRapidan Planning District Commission, reported that he hand-delivered Rappahannock’s application for $500,000 to Richmond on June 30. The county’s request for money for the Sperryville sewer system was one of 118 received by the Virginia Commission for Housing and Community Development. “That’s down from 150 last year,” he said,
