Dancing
This Friday
There will be dancing in the streets again this Friday night, July 22, from 8 p.m. until midnight in the town of Washington. Jeff Harper, deejay and music director for WEER, Warrenton’s former radio station that provided an oasis for area listeners, will return with his extensive record library. This time, he’ll be spinning tunes to benefit Rappahannock’s 4-H programs.
Admission to the Gay Street “dance floor” will be $4 for adults, $3 for members of the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community, and $2 for youngsters 12 years and under. The affair will be BYOB and set-ups. Soft drinks will be sold. In case of rain, partiers will move to the Washington fire hall.
