Land was sub-divided and zoning had to appear To protect the land which we hold so dear. Taxes were raised for schools and for roads No one liked these extra loads. New houses are built and old ones stay Dollar values are down and wages are high today.
There is one thing, though, that doesn’t alter Not one Rappahannockian will ever falter To be kind and considerate to his fellow man And to always be helpful any way he can.
How could one be any other way In a land so beautiful- a great place to stay In a county so lovely and peaceful, too. God made it beautiful for me and for you.
