The JV Panthers fell short in an earlier try to clinch second place and a slot in the championship game a$_ they lost to Brentsville last Tuesday, 24-32.
The Panthers took an early lead, dominating in the first period to outscore the
Tigers, 11-4. But the second quarter was just the opposite as the Tigers took advantage of Rapp’s sloppy play to end the half just a point behind, l(i-15.
With top scorers Thomas Rector and Craig Williams riding the bench for most of the third period with four fouls apiece, the Panther offense could muster only two points in that quarter, both from Thomas Williams. By the time the fourth quarter started, it was all academic as Brentsville coasted to a 24-32 win.
