After getting a three week postponement to arrange a calibration, Joseph Andrew Pullen appeared in General District Court on February 14 still sans his speedometer check.
Judge John Alexander had granted the extension when Pullen said workers at the service stations he had visited told him the calibrations could not be done in wet weather. When Pullen showed up saying it had still been too rainy to get the calibration. the judge refused another extension.
“I doubt it would make much difference,” said Alexander. Pullen was ticketed for allegedly traveling 66 miles per hour in a 55 mile zone. “How do you plead?”
“Guilty, I guess,” answered the defendent.
Pullen was fined $22 plus $20 court costs.
