Here are some ideas for sewing time savers:

Glue sticks eliminate basting and pinning zippers, pockets and trims.

Water erasable pens and tracing paper let you mark darts, hems, dots and other pattern markings.

Fusible mesh is a quick way to hem in-a-hurry, but it is temporary.

Fusible interfacing allows you to press, tailor and sew with no basting.

Topstitching tape makes a perfect guide for even stitching.

To gather, use a zig-zag stitch over a heavy thread or cord 5/8 inch from the fabric edge.

Use weights (large metal washers, table knives, cups) instead of pins to hold pattern in place for cutting.

3500 Calories = 1 lb. Fat

While no single food is “fattening,” too much of anything can be. Your body will turn 3500 calories of unused energy into one pound of fat, regardless of whether those calories come from cookies or celery. The key? Eat a variety of foods in moderation.
