RICHMOND — “There are too many," says Sen. William A. Truban (D-‘26th), talking not about bills or taxes, but about the lobbyists who descend on the General Assembly each year.
There are “some good ones, some not so good. Some just terrible,” he says.
"We need lobbyists, but we don’t need so many, and we don't need ’em hanging around us all the time,” says Truban. who has been dealing with them for 14 years as a state senator.
There were 800 lobbyists registered with the Secretary of the Commonw'ealth by Feb. 14, about 70 more than in the previous record
