February is over and today is the first of March. Spring is just around the comer, the forsythia and pussy willow have started to open and tulip bulbs are up all around us.
Calling on Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Keyser at ‘The Oaks” on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Slaughter of Leesburg and Mr. and Mrs. Homer Painter of Winchester.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Giles of Warrenton were Sunday morning guests of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Payne. Afternoon visitors were Mrs. Gladys Moore of Arlington and Everett Blosser of New Market.
Mrs. Alice Beahm was a Saturday visitor of Mr. and Mrs. John Clark and family.
H.T. Updike, Jr. of Culpeper visited his father, H. Taylor Updike on Sunday.
Mrs. Josephine Wood of Reva Park was a Sunday luncheon guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Wayland. In the afternoon the ladies visited Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Wayland, Eddie, Mike and Brian.
