World War II Veteran
James Earl Stallings, 59, of Culpeper, died Thursday, February 23, 1984, at University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville.
A native of North Carolina, he was the son of the late John Cleveland and Annie Ruth Batchler Stallings. He was retired from the Virginia Department of Highways and was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Stallings was a member of Culpeper Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora Clatterbuck Stallings; two daughters, Miss Cathy F. Stallings and Miss Pamela H. Stallings, both of Culpeper; two sons, James W. Stallings of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Michael N. Stallings of Culpeper; one grandchild and a brother, Horace Stallings of Culpeper.
Funeral services were conducted at Clore Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday by the Rev. Edward Hawkins and Rev. Franklin Cale. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
