Rappahannock is unusual in that it has just one Lions’ Club, Nichols adds, unlike neighboring Culpeper County where there are three different groups —one to meet for breakfast, one for lunch and another that gathers in the Evening.
Nichols is proud of the achievements of Rappahannock in the state scheme of things. The local club has produced a district deputy governor — Phil Butten — and a couple of zone chairmen — Bob Ingle has served once, Paul Nichols twice. As zone chairmen, they served on the district level cabinet.
