Chapter Meeting
Mr. T.G. Scott, Jr. of Orange, an authority on Wildflowers, will give an illustrated talk on Virginia Wildflowers when the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution meet Tuesday, March 6 at 2:00 p.m.
The meeting to be hostessed by Mrs. Benjamin F. Black and Mrs. Clifton Compton and will be held at the Culpeper United Methodist Church.
Please note a change in the date of the March meeting from the second Tuesday to the first Tuesday.
Board Session Monday
The regular monthly meeting of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors will be held Monday, March 5, beginning at 10 a.m. upstairs in the county courthouse in Washington.
Masons Gather
Washington’s Masonic Lodge #78 will meet Monday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the hall above the Washington Baptist Church.
Ladies Plan Banquet
The ladies of the Flint Hill Auxiliary will complete plans for their annual banquet, set for March 31, at their meeting on March 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the fire hall. All members of the Auxiliary are reminded to attend this important planning session.
Church Women Meet
The regular meeting of the Episcopal Church Women of Bromfield Parish will be held Wednesday, March 7, at 2 p.m. in the Trinity Episcopal parish hall in Washington.
Back By Popular Demand
RAAC is bringing the classical music trio of Margaret Newcomb. Leslie Diggs and Will New comb back to Rappahannock clue to the popular demand.
With flute, guitar and recorder, they will be filling the halls of the Middle St. Gallery on Saturday, March 10 at 5:00 with Debussy. Bach. Telemann. Satie and Handel.
Margaret and Will Newcomb are former residents of the county. While living here, Margaret taught flute at the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music. She has studied with Jean Paul Rampal. Will is a scientist at the University of Virginia. Leslie Diggs studied with a student of famous guitarist Segovia. The trio currently performs in the Charlottesville area.
Wine and cheese will be served after the performance. Admission is $3.00 for RAAC members and $4.00 for others. Call 675-3193 or 547-3405 for information.
