World War II Veteran
Albert Carter Jett, 66, of Huntly, died Wednesday, November 28 in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Funeral; services were conducted on Friday I at Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill by the Rev. James Price. Burial was in Culpeper National Cemetery with military rites.
Mr. Jett was born July 22,1918, in Huntly, son of the late Willie and Mary Russell Jett. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Front Royal American Legion Post 174 and Front Royal Masonic Lodge 312. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Bessie M. Jett; two sons, Henry Wallace Jett of Winchester and Bernard E. Jett of Huntly; two daughters, Juba Jett Fletcher of Kensington, Md. and Alicia Ann Jett of Winchester and eight grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Samuel M. Jett of Flint Hill and Thomas Daniel Jett of Huntly and three sisters, Lilian Ann Russell of Huntly, Rebecca Rollins of Washington, D.C. and AdUne C. Myers of Flint HilL
Pallbearers were Charles Jordon, William Jordon, George Turner, William Roberts, George Taylor and Walter Frye.
Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal was in charge of the arrangement*.
