Wakefield’s varsity team ran into an experienced, well-drilled, and disciplined team. The Owls were unable to keep pace with the Randolph Macon team who used their height and strength to dominate the game in the first half which closed with the Owls 80 points behind. Wakefield did assert themselves in the second half and were able to narrow the gap to a respectable 72-48 loss.

Coach Paul Ruisi of the Owls thought the teams proved that they could keep pace with any style of basketball played and believes that with more practice the teams will gel into a very competitive unit. ’
