Proof that hunting season is in could be found in General District Court on Tuesday as Judge John Alexander decided five cases involving hunting violations.
Kenneth Robert Cornelius, Roger Dale Gray, and William Anderson Jenkins all pled guilty to possession of an untagged deer, no big game license, and hunting without a license. For possession of an untagged deer the three were fined (100 each plus (35 costs. They were fined another $50 for having no big game license plus another (35 costs. Judge Alexander also fined each of the three (50 for hunting without a license with an additional (35 in costs.
In two separate contested cases, Eddie Garfield Burke was found not guilty of trespassing on posted land, and George Pullen was found not guilty f killing a doe out of season and of hunting within 100 yards of a road.
