Follow the “Christina* House” signs in Washington, Vs., Saturday, Dec. 15 from 2-8 p.m. to the holiday open house, a Christmas presentation to the community by the ladies of the Rappahannock County Garden Club.
The federal style “Maples,” home of Mr. and Mrs. Newbifl J. Miller, will be draped in festive garb by ladies of the dub both within and without and entirely illuminated by candlelight.
The parior will feature a Douglas fir tree reaching to the 10 ft. ceiUng, decorated with handmade ornaments that were meticulously crafted over the past year by the dub’s artistic members. Copies of these ornaments and other one of a kind trimmings, as well as decorations for the house, table, wall and mantle will be available for purchase at the small dependency or office in the rear yard.
The refreshment committee will be serving homemade confectionery and a libation from the wassail bowl A silver offering is suggested.
