with alternate sites—ones that would be safer, more accessible, more convenient and less costly. I have personally discussed these sites with board members.
It now appears that the Board intends to plow ahead with this project, ignoring public comment (I haven't heard any in favor of the proposal) and refusing our offer of cooperative support. We are forced to redouble our efforts to oppose the project.
We will continue to offer reasonable alternatives. Sooner or later, in one forum or another, the county government will have to pay attention. This ia a public issue, and we are determined to keep it that way.
