other resident* for an agriculture-fores tal district. The third planner in Greene County voted no on requests for agricultural-forestal districts, which meant both planners involved had to vote for the formation if it were to pass, Reynolds recalled.
The attorney general ruled this situation did not constitute a conflict of interest if the planner had applied with others for the agricultural-forestal district, Reynolds said. Miller and Krebser both had applied with others; moreover, neither had participated in the recommendation of the Planning Commission when their separate applications were discussed.
The supervisors also sought the advice of Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke in regard to the legality of accepting a tag on application on the day of the public hearing. Luke said approval by the Board was permitted provided the Board considered the acreage in question “significant farm and forest lands.”
• Inspection fees waived. The Board agreed to waive fees for an electrical inspection on 160 homes in Sperryville that will be tied into the Sperryville sewer system. The fees waived would have cost residents $35 each at a minimum.
Wayne Cilimberg of Planning District 9, who is working on the project with the Water and Sewer Authority (WSA), also completed paperwork loose ends with the supervisors in preparation for a WSA meeting in Richmond next week.
