The Wakefield varsity and junior varsity basketball teams opened their fourth season with a hard-fought game against Randolph Macon Academy cn Friday, November 30.
Ilie RMA Yellow Jackets dominated the first half of the junior varsity game, but during the second half the l Wakefield Owls were able to use a full court press to cut a 20 point deficit to only six points with time running out. In an attempt to dose the gap Anther, Wakefield fouled to gain possession of the ball in the closing seconds. The Yellow Jackets, however, prevailed and won the game 42-31.
