Robinson described the house on Lot F as a "contemporary design” with one side of the building having two bedrooms and one bath, and the other side having one bedroom and one bath. Each of the sides has its own kitchen, and the two sides are connected by a utility area and carport.
The building on Lot F has two stories, and the building proposed for Lot G would be single story. Robinson told the Board that the car port between the living areas creates an illusion that the building is large. According to Robinson, the total living area for the entire structure is 870 square feet. "Now that is smaller than a typical single family residence,” said Robinson. The house on Lot G would have 1,066 square feet of living space as now proposed.
Baumgardner told the Board that Saltonstall would be willing to have conditions attached to the special use permits which would prohibit any expansion of the house on Lot F, and the permission for possible changes in the proposal for Lot G not to exceed a certain size.
