Christinas is slightly more than two weeks away and many individuals and organizations around the county already have initiated their special brand of sharing and caring.
This week two organizations formally announced plans to help people in need this holiday season, the Department of Social Services and the Rappahannock J aycees.
The Department of Social Services plans again to gather and distribute food baskets. The Department also hopes to give money again this year to foster children.
Their effort was boosted this week by another organization, the Rappahannock Lions Club, who made a monetary contribution.
