Groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Child Care and Learning Center building will be held Monday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m. The site is on Route 211, one mile south of Washington.
Excitement over the upcoming ceremonies coincides with the resignation of Kathleen Schilling, the center’s director since December 27, 1984. Schilling’s resignation was announced by Linda Dietel, the newly elected president of the center’s 12-member board of directors. Dietel said that “administrative differences” between Schilling and other staff members prompted the resignation.
