Both upcoming seniors participated in other special events such as the election of the new 1985-86 State Officers and a celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Future Homemakers of America.

The Virginia Association, Future Homemakers of America is the second largest vocational student organization in Virginia and the nation. It’s membership includes more than 17,000 young men and women attending area high schools or vocational schools.

The organization is sponsored by the Home Economics Education Service, Virginia Department of Education.
