I can understand that students want to support their teachers and keep good teachers in the system. However, protests do not restore funds. It would be more productive and beneficial to use the energy that it took to organize and orchestrate a protest to instead initiate and orchestrate fund raising projects. Students and citizens who value the school should work to support it - not sit or march in protest. Just as Rappahannock scenery doesn't feed the teacher’s family, neither does student walkouts.
School is a learning experience. I trust the school learned from this experience.
