The supervisors are not at all unsympathetic. I think the teachers are very unsympathetic towards this supervisor who has done so much more than probably anyone in this county to increase teacher’s salaries. All I get for it is the types of personal attacks at the high school the other day. Rappahannock News: Do you think there is a problem with teacher morale at the school? Lane: I certainly do. I would almost call it a disciplinary problem at the same time. I think if we’re not careful we can all have a problem with our morale. I think the whole country is going through a period of belt tightening.
